“Whitmans Tree”

Medium: Oil, Size: 6” x 8”

I created this painting after reading a book of poetry by Walt Whitman.  I was inspired to paint this  work after reading his poetry describing an old oak tree.  I attempted  to re-create scenes I imagined as I read from Walt's poem.
